Lawlessness breaks out in U.S. cities in protest of Donald Trump

SPREAD THE WORD:

"All that matters is popular resistance." said one protester.

Despite claims like these, and the seemingly chaotic footage showing cars set ablaze, building windows smashed in with rocks, and people beat with baseball bats and sent falling to the ground with sucker punches, some protesters are insisting they're just peacefully protesting. As their own words "Love Trumps Hate" ring through cities, they're bringing an ironic twist to their message.

Chaotic rioting is taking place nationwide following a series of events, and protesters say it's all because of one man; Donald J. Trump. After being elected President last November, the United States saw some of the most violent and chaotic riots just hours after Hillary Clinton's concession speech, officially declaring Trump as the winner of 2016 Presidential election. Now, after Trump has signed off on an executive bill that bars entry from seven Muslim-majority countries, protesters and rioters have more ammunition than they know what to do with. Cities nationwide including San Francisco, Oakland, New York, Boston, Portland, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, Detroit, Chicago, and 30 other cities have seen the most chaotic riots in decades, as protesters fling rocks through windows, set trash and cars ablaze, clobber Trump supporters caught in the mobs cross hairs, and even fighting police officers in hand to hand combat with bats and clubs. On the Inauguration, January 20th, alone, more than 200 people were arrested.

A quick YouTube or Google search will turn up hundreds of videos showing violent mobs devouring everything in their path, blocking traffic, and reeking havoc on cities in protest of just about everything imaginable. In a report by Political Outsource last week, protesters told us they were marching for gay and women rights, freedom of speech, African American and Black Lives Matter rights, and against "white supremacy", "neo-nazi's", "hate", and more. A group of protesters even held signs protesting the Dalai Lama, calling him a liar for his unfounded ties with Trump after saying there is "nothing to worry about" regarding the next four years. While their ideas may be scattered, their mission is not; that being to reek the utmost havoc and destruction on cities across the United States.

Despite these protests seemingly being violent, chaotic, and dangerous, most protesters told Political Outsource and other reporters that they are simply expressing their first amendment right to peacefully protest. 37-year old Ashley Link was among the protesters at Franklin Square on Pennsylvania Avenue, and she expressed how despite how it may seem; it's truly just a peaceful protest. Link said the "frustration" many protesters are feeling is justified.

"I'm all about peaceful protesting, practicing nonviolence, but at the same time, I understand why people are so frustrated," she said. "They are so upset about so many things in our country right now that to make a poster? There's not a poster big enough to cover all the things that people are frustrated about."

On that same day on Pennsylvania Avenue, a man wearing a "Trump - Make America Great Again" campaign shirt was ambushed and beaten to the ground by a group of protesters. That incident was recorded, and published to YouTube, where it can viewed at the top of this page or by clicking here.

In a video published by Political Outsource, protesters are filmed yelling "F--k Donald Trump" and "F--k that n--ga". When the person filming asks why they hate Trump, a man replies; "Fuck that cracker," and another yells in the background: "he's a racist!"

In the city of Ferguson, Missouri, it's becoming an all out war zone. Police cruisers are set ablaze as residents run rampant in the streets looting, stealing, and fighting as chaos breaks out. It's comparable to the "Purge" like events unfolding in Espirito Santo, Brazil after the entire police force went on strike.

Lysander Reid-Powell, a 20-year old New Mexico student, joined a Black Lives Matter march that blocked the entrance of the National Mall. Powell commented on how "all that matters is popular resistance."

"I think Donald Trump is a fascist, and it's very easy for people, especially people who are in pain, to slip into fascism," he said. "It's easy for people to feel like the individual has no power and that you're just one small little ant in the big hill, so ultimately all that matters is popular resistance."

That resistance has seemed to be in full fledged in over 30 cities across the nation, and masked protesters continue to rile up crowds resulting in destruction of businesses, cars, and public property. A group of protesters carrying a black and red flag are seen leading a fierce charge against city police, and officers are seen tirelessly swinging batons at the onslaught of protesters. Finally, they launch smoke bombs and tear gas into the crowd, and move to condense the crowd of over 300 into a small, cramped blanket. One video shows protesters smashing a cop car, trying to tip it over, and even jumping on it. Some protesters were filmed viciously attacking a person wearing a Trump shirt, knocking him to the ground. When he returns to his feet, a sucker punch from behind sends him hurling back to the pavement as the attacker runs off. A group of protesters carrying a Mexican flag are filmed trailing slowly behind an apparent Trump supporter, wearing a white "Make America Great Again" t-shirt. In a flash, one protester swings and connects with the man, sending him tumbling to the ground. People are heard in the background saying "it ain't worth it, it ain't worth it" as he struggles back to his feet, only to have two men on motorcycles come to his side and kick him back down. In another scene captured on tape, a group of protesters bashing the windows in of a limousine, smashing it with bats, and then setting it on fire. Another video highlights protesters smashing a bank with baseball bats and metal rods, breaking windows and hurling rocks and fire-blazing trash inside. Police quickly arrive on the scene, and chase down the assailants, only to be met with a wave of resistance. As Powell says, all that matters is popular resistance, and it seems protesters are sticking to their word.
