After taking a devastating lose in the Presidential election November 8th, a photograph surfaced seeming to show Democrat Hillary Clinton being caught by an adoring fan while taking a refreshing hike in the woods. The photograph, originally share on Margot Gerster's facebook page, has since went viral make it's way to the front pages of CNN, NBC, CBS, and even gained thousands of shares on Twitter and Instagram. However, new reports show that Gerster, the woman who claims she was "devastated" after the election results and happened to run into Clinton on a hike, has a much deeper connection with the Clinton campaign than appeared.
Margot Gerster shared this photo on Facebook the day after Hillary Clinton conceded the election to Trump. In a picture that shows Clinton with her dog, grinning from ear to ear with Gerster, Clinton seems to have the weight of the world of her shoulders.

Gerster said she shared the photo in admiration of Hillary's events of a "very dark day yesterday", in reference to Trump beating Clinton in a landslide. Gerster told reporters she was hiking in the park with her daughter, the same trail she does everyday, and happened to see Bill and Hillary Clinton walking their dogs. Gerster recounts "fan-girling" at the sight of the Democratic Presidential nominee. The picture went viral, as it was the first time Hillary Clinton was photographed since conceding the election, but also became an internet sensation in admiration of Hillary. MSNBC's Andrea Mithchell raved over Clinton's apparent "resilience", however, many others began to speculate about the legitimacy of the photo.

Soon, people began to connect Gerster's links with the Clinton Foundation, dating back to her high school run-ins with Hillary.

A photo (above) surfaced showing Gerster pictured with Hillary Clinton at a high school fundraiser for Clinton in Chappaqua, held by her mother. Critics began to believe the "chance encounter" wasn't so random, after all. Now, new reports are storming on social media that may show Gerster has ties working for the Clinton campaign, and the photo was actually staged.

"I've been feeling so heartbroken since yesterday's election and decided what better way to relax than take my girls hiking,' Gerster wrote,"So I decided to take them to one of favorite places in Chappaqua. We were the only ones there and it was so beautiful and relaxing." And, like that, she ran into the very woman she was crushed over. "As we were leaving, I heard a bit of rustling coming towards me and as I stepped into the clearing there she was, Hillary Clinton and Bill with their dogs doing exactly the same thing as I was." Gerster continued, saying "I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her. "She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk."

Gerster has since removed both photos from her profile on Facebook.

"She was taking a nice, peaceful hike through the woods. I don't think she wanted to talk serious politics," Gerster said, also saying the reason she originally shared the photograph was "to make people smile".

Many others haven taken note of the coincidence, calling out the holes in Gerster's story, and eerily previous encounters she had with the Clinton's. Since the backlash, Gerster has wiped everything off her facebook, including all photos and information.

The New York Times first reported on the photograph, linking to Gerster's facebook page that eventually lead readers to discover her previous encounters with Hillary Clinton. Since then, the New York Times said they "vow to start reporting honestly".

Others have claimed that Gerster had worked for the Clinton campaign:

That Hillary Clinton ‘hiking’ picture that’s doing the rounds? It was staged by a close personal friend. She just can’t stop lying. pic.twitter.com/nuGxmLbTuL — BarnyCelt (@BarnyCelt) November 11, 2016

Others called out news sources for their blatant lies, and disregard for the truth.

Many are now convinced that the photo and entire counter was staged to present Clinton in a positive light after taking a devastating blow on election night, however, MSNBC's Mitchell continued to build up the photo and random encounter, saying:

“What a moment. And it certainly reflects what we saw in Hillary Clinton, the resilience, the grit. And certainly the fact that all of us saw that speech that she gave. And she is able to move on, as tough as this is,” she told White House correspondent Kristen Welker.

Upset Democrats continue to protest in the west-coast, and begin to spread nationwide. Many streets and neighborhoods have been blocked off by police, and thousands continue to gather in the street to protest the election of Donald Trump. Trump Towers, based in Manhattan, has been under fire by violent protesters, forcing heavy SWAT and riot force to guard the area. Clinton has not made any official comment since losing the election.
